Dr Okala talks about nutrition in pregnancy and the efficacy of vaccinations

Dr Sandra Okala, Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Women and Children’s Health at King’s College London, discusses her passion for immunology  and how nutrition in utero effects a baby’s response to childhood vaccinations. Dr Okala has conducted a clinical trial in Gambia to measure such effects. This trial, involving 800 pregnant women, was conducted between 2010 and 2015.
